Membership

'Fusions', formerly 'The Queensland Potters Association', is a public company limited by guarantee.  

The membership consists of individual, or groups of, ceramic artists, who gain privileges and rights extending from the objectives of the organisation.  

 

There are seven classes of membership with varying fees (see the Application for Membership form for fee structure):

  • Metropolitan members reside within the boundaries of the City of Brisbane and have full membership privileges and rights;
  • Regional members reside outside the boundaries of the City of Brisbane and have full membership privileges and rights;
  • Concession/ Student members are those who receive a recognised Australian Government pension, or who are currently enrolled full time in a recognised Australian secondary or tertiary educational institution, and have full membership privileges and rights;
  • Group/Organisation members are entities comprising two or more valid constituents and have one vote per group organisation;
  • Life members are ordinary members who have contributed service to Fusions for a period of at least ten years, and have full membership privileges and rights;
  • Honorary members are individuals who have been voted as such by the Board of Directors, and have no voting rights;
  • Friends of Fusions are those who do not identify as practicing artists but gain access to the organisation by way of social activities and have no voting rights.
